WHAT IS THE COST OF RUNNING AN AD IN THE COMMUNITY TARGET PROGRAM? | |
Please call for current pricing, circulation, total newspapers and deadlines. | |
WHAT ARE THE BASIC METHODS OF PAYMENT? | |
VISA, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Cashiers Check, or Money Orders. A personal or business check may delay your ad placement by one to two weeks. | |
HOW ARE WORDS COUNTED? | |
Every customary word is counted as one word. A telephone number, website address, or e-mail address each count as one word. Abbreviations count as one word. | |
WHEN IS THE DEADLINE? | |
Deadlines vary by state. Most occur Tuesday or Wednesday mornings for the following week's placement. Earlier deadlines for holiday weeks. | |
ARE THERE ANY RESTRICTIONS? | |
Mostly ads that do not comply with state and federal regulations. Call with or fax ad copy for pre-approval on specific restrictions. | |
WHAT HEADING WILL THE NEWSPAPERS RUN MY AD UNDER? | |
Some newspapers will mix statewide ads with their local ads under appropriate headlines in the Classified Section. Some newspapers will run all Community Target Ads (statewide ads) under the heading of Statewide Classifieds. | |
CAN YOU PRINT MY AD IN BOLD FACE? | |
Bold face or capital letters are not provided for per contract with these newspapers. Your ad will look similar to other classified "line" ads in participating newspapers. However, some newspapers will print the first few words in bold type or capital letters, or even put a box around your ad. | |
WILL I GET A DISCOUNT IF I RUN MY AD MORE TIMES? | |
These are already discounted rates. However, we do offer a 7% discount on the total order price when a "group" is ordered for 3 or more consecutive weeks with no ad changes. | |
HOW MANY RESPONSES WILL I GET IF I RUN THIS AD? | |
A well-written and well-tested ad selling good products or services generally receives good responses. However, US Newspapers cannot guarantee the response received by advertisers. Effective advertising involves many factors including frequency, consumer interest, ad content, etc. US Newspapers is not responsible if you ad does not generate the results you anticipated. | |
CAN I RUN MY AD IN REGIONS? | |

WHAT ABOUT THE TEAR SHEETS OR PROOF OF PUBLICATION? | |
Proof of publication or tear sheets are not provided. However, you may call individual newspapers and request a copy of your ad. | |
